BASF Invests in DfE Chelating Agent Production

BASF has announced plans to build a new Trilon M (methylglycinediacetic acid) world scale plant at Evonik’s Theodore, AL site. The $90 million investment will create approximately 20 additional jobs. Start up is planned for the second half of 2015.   BASF’s chelating agent is readily biodegradable and improves the cleaning effect of detergents and cleaners in home care and industrial and institutional (I&I) cleaning applications.
